Welcome
Caring for someone very special requires patience and understanding. We think of ourselves as a "second family" for all our residents, because we share a common interest in providing the special attention and care that only a family can give.
Each resident is appointed a Named Nurse on arrival. After an appropriate settling in period you will be allocated a key-worker. This will be a mutual decision which will be based on taking into account the member of staff who best relates to the individual.
We are here to share our resident's accomplishments and joys and offer extra encouragement and support during difficult times. We know the importance of needing a special friend, someone to confide in or offer help and advice when needed.
About The Home
Courtlands Lodge is a 29 bedded care home providing 24 hour nursing care in a homely environment for people with a variety of Mental Health needs.
The home offers one level of accommodation, with secure entrances and has 2 private gardens at the rear of the property and a car park to the front elevation. The bedrooms are double accommodation or single accommodation depending on residents needs.
We are situated at the bottom of a quiet cul de sac within North Hykeham on the outskirts of the City of Lincoln. The area offers all local amenities, shops, sports centres, schools, etc.
All bedrooms are centrally heated and comfortably furnished. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room as they wish to, to include colour schemes/decoration and reminders of home. Each room has a nurse call, basin and TV point.
When moving into the home, a residents guide booklet is provided to each new resident and a personal profile is completed so that a person-centred package of care can be provided. A staff board with photos is available so that residents can easily identify staff members. Residents benefit from qualified nurses on site at all times, two weekly visits from the frailty nurse and access to the integrated care team.
Meals are produced daily by the home chef and kitchen assistant and are produced to a high quality. Hot or cold drinks are available all day.
